Rates
:
O
ur basic rate is $20.00 per per person for an hour-long cruise on the waters defined by Watch Hill Harbor to Stonington Harbor. Excursions beyond this boundary—for example to Mystic, CT, Fisher’s Island, NY or Block Island—can be arranged for a fee of $40.00 per person per hour of travel time (a one
hour minimum applies). Please call for more details.

Rates for all customized excursions and outings
will be assessed on a per-trip basis. For example, a “Beach Day” outing at Napatree Point or Sandy Isle can be arranged, from a simple drop-off/pick-up to a fully provisioned trip, including beach gear and light fare. (Call us to discuss your needs in greater detail
so that we may provide a more accurate quote). PLEASE NOTE: In order to reach shore, a beach outing includes the transfer from the Hard Tail to a smaller inflatable dinghy, which requires reasonable physical agility (and a willing spirit!). Please take this into consideration before booking your outing.

Reservations:
Please reserve your trip a minimum of 7 days prior
to your desired date. Trip requests made without reservations will be accommodated if open time
slots are available on the desired date.

Deposits and Cancellations:
Reservations must be accompanied by a 50%
non-refundable deposit.
Should weather conditions
dictate a trip cancellation, or if the customer must cancel for any reason, the deposit will be reserved
and applied to a future trip on a mutually agreeable time or date.

Payment:
We accept cash and travelers checks; all fees are
due payable in full prior to the start of the trip. (If your reservation included a deposit, the balance must be paid in cash prior to leaving the dock.) We prefer payment not be made by personal check; however,
we will accept a check if it’s received with sufficient time for it to clear prior to the date of the trip. (We
will not accept
personal checks the day of the trip.)

We also accept payment via PayPal. Due to the
limited nature of this feature, not every option is
listed in the menu below. Please call to discuss additional payment options for your outing.

Hours of Operation:

E
arliest departure is 9 am; the last trip returns to
the docks at dusk.

Provisioning:
All trips include light refreshments and snacks,

with a choice of bottled waters, sodas, coffee,
crackers, chips and etc. More extensive

selections will be provided on request and will
include a small surcharge (please let us know if
you have specific dietary concerns or needs).
Alcohol is permitted on board, but is limited to
wine and beer; no hard liquor is allowed. We ask
that you drink responsibly when on-board; unruly
or drunken behavior will automatically terminate
the trip, with no refund of any fees.
Smoking of any description is not permitted.

What to Bring:
Only rubber-soled shoes, sandals or boots are allowed on board. Bring a light, water-resistant
jacket and slacks; even on the sunniest days,
it can be considerably cooler (and wetter) on
the water than on shore. Sunglasses, a hat
and sunscreen are also essential. Of course, a camera, your iPod, cell phone or what have you will add to your enjoyment, so bring them along.
If you are susceptible to sea-sickness, please,
plan accordingly by taking the proper precautions and medications well before the start of your trip.

The Legal Stuff:
Marinas, docks and boats exist in a much less
stable environment than most folks may be accustomed to. As such, the customer accepts
and agrees that Hard Tail Charters, LLC, and any marina or business encountered in the course of
the trip, will bear no responsibility for any personal harm, accident or damage which might occur on land and/or while boarding or leaving the boat.
The Captain assumes responsibility for the ship
and passengers while underway, and pledges to operate the vessel safely and in compliance with
all recognized navigational “Rules of the Road”,
but he cannot predict (nor will he be responsible
for) the actions of other vessels encountered. The customer fully recognizes—and by booking a trip, accepts—these conditions, and agrees to hold harmless Hard Tail Charters, LLC and its Captain against any damages resulting from any situation not under his operational or direct control.

With that business taken care of, it’s on to…

The Fun Stuff:
Our goal is to ensure that your time on the water will be relaxed, pleasant and memorable. We look
forward to providing you with a great outing, and
to having you aboard!
